Maybe you’ve seen the banners for Made in L.A. 2012 lining Sunset Blvd. or on billboards around town?  We saw them and were wondering exactly what this event was all about.  Made in L.A. 2012 is a three-month long art exhibition that focuses on emerging and under-recognized local artists, providing them a platform to showcase their works.  The exhibition embraces the diversity of Los Angeles and its art community.  All types of art are presented, everything from figurative and abstract painting, to video installations and photography.  This event is led by the Hammer Museum in Westwood, partnered with LA><ART in Culver City, and Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery in Los Feliz and will include work by 60 artists.  From now until September 2nd each location will be offering tours, performances, and public programs so be sure to check the schedule!
